INTERNSHIP • SUMMER 2022–FALL 2023
At the Wexner Center for the Arts, I worked with their talented team of designers on a variety of print and digital projects. During my internship, I led work on:
- Internal annual and monthly marketing reports to be shared with the Wex’s new executive director
- Original artwork featured and sold on shirts, stickers, social media materials, and posters.
- A more efficient format for weekly instagram stories and refreshed profile highlights design
- A refresh of assets for the museum’s cafe, including new print and digital designs
- Programs and flyers for live performances
Art is for Everyone
My first assignment was a merch design collaboration with Marcy Paredes, a fellow design intern. Introducing: Griddy and friends!
Griddy, the cube-shaped character, is inspired by the Wex’s iconic grid-style architecture. The other character, Tower, is inspired by the historic armory tower integrated into the Wex building. The phrase “Art is for Everyone” celebrates the gallery’s newly free admission, marking an important milestone in making art more accessible to all.
The shirts are sold in the museum store
Griddy’s design was subsequently used in promotional material for the Wex’s 2022 Open House event.
Instagram Stories
MEMBER HIGHLIGHTS To boost membership, we featured member benefits on the Instagram. Colorful gradients set against a Wex-blue background represent the Wex’s forward-thinking philosophy and the vibrant opportunities that come with a membership.
YOUR WEEK WITH THE WEX YWWTW is a weekly Instagram story series that showcases upcoming events. The format I designed (right) has now become the template for the series.
On Pause Motion Graphic
On Pause was an ongoing series of free art and meditation workshops streamed live from the Wex’s Instagram and Facebook. I designed a complementary promotional motion graphic for social media.
Using After Effects, I created organic shapes that shift and float soothingly across the screen. The shapes softly blur and merge as viewers follow along with the guided meditation, symbolizing wholeness.

2023 Impact Report
The Wex needed an annual PDF to capture a snapshot of their year. After collecting data from various departments, I designed a template that highlights the Wex’s impact.

Café Signage
Heirloom Café, located on the first floor of the museum, highlights locally grown, wholesome ingredients and is a popular spot for Ohio State students and professionals. I was tasked with refreshing both its print and digital signage. 🌱
Event Programs
Event programs are an essential part of the experience at live performances. I’ve designed several of these, each featuring unique photography and varying copy lengths. The process requires careful attention to file management and text formatting, all done using InDesign.
